RD Patch beta

Description

Above: Visible light on the left, NIR* on the right.

This is a little experimental patch that I thought I'd show off a bit, and maybe gather some feedback on before I proceeded much further.
The construction of the patch is of a laminated piece of fabric that can be printed in any color, cut to any shape, and backed by hook tape** with a flexible adhesive.

Advantages over traditional embroidery:
1. Cheaper to make and buy
-less expensive materials and equippment passes savings on
2. Lighter weight
-thin as the fabric it's adhered to, soaks up less water when wet
3. More durable
-plastic forms durable laminate surface while still being thin enough to show fabric weave, frays checked by lamination, dries faster, stays cleaner

On the above patch I've hit the edges with a brown marker, which then decided to bleed into the fabric irregularly. Future patches will not include this.
Apart from that, what'd'ya think? :D

I'm considering naming the product category "Moral Patches" (okay, I just wanted another pun).

*NIR being the "Near InfraRed" part of the EM spectrum, the part viewed through most night vision devices.
**"hook tape" is the generic term for the scratchy side of a Velcro©-like tape fastener, with both sides being referred to as "hook & loop tape".
