Painting armour from imagination simplified

I've been meaning to highlight my mindset or mental approach towards painting (polished) armour in a simplified way from imagination for a while, and with some visual examples. This recent piece was a good one to go with. Basically I try to imagine a horizon view onto my armour, adding colours based on which angles face what. (up sky, down ground) I just like the autumn orange grass for easy aesthetic contrast with blue sky. I've used this a few times before, so there's some more examples below to when I applied this logic too. I might apply a similar logic to eyes too, tho much simpler as I tend to do just the sky with a tree line cut out for them (if even). Unless it's indoor, then I'd probably just do some windows. Or just a very sharp highlight... This is typically just my easy go to baseline aesthetic. I can always go more complex accurate (or I can just go rough unpolished metal without any of this...) Side-note: This logic is based mostly on 'Surface Reflection'.

Familiar Dreamscapes

I wrote this after reading Melancholy Dreams by Kajm This was going to be a response to his journal but it was so long that I decided to post it as an independent journal. I don't exactly have reoccurring dreams but I do have a number of places that are recurrent settings where my dreams take place. 1. The Fountain City: all the buildings and skyscrapers here are large elaborate fountains. They have waterfalls cascading down them and are covered elaborate marvelous carvings. In place of streets are canals with boats and barges. It is also possible to travel through the town by systems of waterslides. The underground pf this city is disgust
